Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography (YSITC) was founded in 1944, currently there’re 3 faculties: Faculty of Theatre, Faculty of Film, TV and Animation and the Faculty of History, Theory and Management of Arts. YSITC is one of Armenia`s top training institutions in the fields of Stage and Screen Arts. The mission of YSITC is to provide higher education in the performing arts in all levels. 795 students study at the Institute and 3 branches in other cities of Armenia.

YSITC has international cooperation with different HEIs and international centers worldwide. The teaching staff members and students actively participate in international festivals and contests.
