ITI/UNESCO Network for Higher Education in the Performing Arts

Structure

The main initiator of the ITI/UNESCO Network for Higher Education in the Performing Arts is the International Theatre Institute ITI. It is responsible for the coordination of the work and the relationship between the Network and UNESCO. It has taken the charge of hosting the Secretariat of the Network in its premises and fulfils the duty of leading the Network through the active involvement of the Director General of ITI as a President of the Network and the Deputy Director of ITI as the Secretary of the Network.

Monitoring and consulting is done by the leading personalities of UNITWIN department of the Educational Sector of UNESCO.

The General Assembly of the Members is the superior body of the ITI/UNESCO Network. It elects and confirms the President and the Secretary as well as electing the Board of the Network.

The Board handles issues that need a decision for the ITI/UNESCO Network. It consists of leaders and members of the Project Groups, and leading administrators.

The Secretariat is responsible for administrative work, promotion and coordination. It functions under the leadership of the Secretary of the Network.
